Chris Bradley – Owner
Chris fell in love with sports from a very early age and enjoyed participating in sport and exercise to a very high standard from early childhood. He pursued this interest from an academic perspective after studying business for 2 years and attained a Diploma in Sports studies in 2001.
Immediately after finishing his diploma Chris began working straight away in the health and fitness industry. He has worked in
both the private and public sector as a Personal trainer and class instructor for over 10 years teaching Bootcamp, Boxing, circuit training, group cycling, Kettle bells, suspension training and core stability to name a few.
He has a wealth of Personal Training experience; in the past 8 and a half years alone he has over 15,000 hours and his clients have come to expect a fully optimised, dynamic programme tailored specifically to their requirements. His experience led to Chris moving into the role of Fitness tutor in early 2014 working mainly in Dublin training other personal trainers sports Nutrition, suspension training and spinning.
In late 2014 Chris opened up his own training facility in Magherfelt which has allowed him to focus on more on what he feels is his specialisms Fat loss Transformations.
He believes that fat loss coaching can be life changing in that each client leaves their sessions feeling strong, positive and energised for life. Again this gives him the most satisfaction.
His goal as fat loss coach is to develop a unique trainer – client
relationship and help them discover that through exercise people can regain confidence, courage, support and health back into their lives no matter what has held them back in the past.
Chris believes that no trainer is complete and is always looking for new theories, practices, science and influences to incorporate into programming and building up his repertoire so that clients always get challenged, pushed and leave their workout closer to their goal. In 2014 he gained his KG Elite Strength and condition qualification and in 2015 finished a year of education with one of the world leading nutrition experts Ben Coomber at the Body Type Nutrition Academy.
Jonathan Bradley – Gym Manager
Jonathan Bradley has always been involved in sport from a young age with multiple half marathons under his belt .With his own personal battle with weight in his late teens this put him in a unique position to fully understand how hard it to loss weight and to keep it off.
This experience gave him the drive and passion to become a coach and to help others succeed in losing weight, helping others to reach their goals in fitness and weight loss is what fuels his passion to be a coach.
He now looks after the day to day running of the gym and delivers Small Group
Training. Fitness is his passion in life Jonathan says ‘ My greatest satisfaction comes from helping people reach theirs goals seeing their confidence grow and having a positive impact their lives.
Jonathan says that’s his success come from his enthusiasm to help people combined with discipline, motivation and the write dietary advice has proven to the perfect recipe for success.
Keith Bigger – Coach
Keith recently passed his Level 3 Personal Training with Elite Fitness and Performance Academy Belfast. Although new to the fitness industry, he comes with plenty of experience as he has been tested physically with a career in the military. Keith believes that teaching someone to train is as important as taking part and applies this to his training methods. To achieve your goal, you must first be able to understand it.
You’ll be glad to know that Keith isn’t one for restrictive diets, as this can lead to being less social, instead he prefers lifestyle improvements. Keith has an active interest in Olympic lifts and all things Kettlebell related. Although he’s not afraid to give something new a try, having completed Scuba Diving, Mountain Biking and Kayaking in Cyprus. Parachuting in Wales and plenty of time skiing on the slopes of Val d’Isare.
Now as a member of Chris Bradley Personal Training, he wants to bring value and enjoyment to all his sessions.
Rhian – Coach
Rhian has always had a lot of passion and enthusiasm for sport, health and fitness. She believes that any physical activity is about improving yourself in all aspects physically, mentally and socially. You can learn something from every experience.
Rhian studied Sports Studies at University of Stirling before completing her Level 3 Personal Training qualification at the end of her education. While she lived in
Scotland Rhian competed for the university's ladies hockey team, athletics team, triathlon team and the surf club. Once Rhian moved home she started her second degree in Sports Coaching at University of Ulster, Jordanstown, aiming to understand the theories and methods behind coaching and completing a dissertation on mental health in sport.
Rhian has since worked as a personal trainer and hockey coach working mostly with ladies of various ages, abilities and backgrounds. She has a real drive for getting more females involved in any type of physical activity. It is her belief that all females should feel capable of any aspiration they have in life whether that be weight loss, increased fitness levels, joining a sports team, starting education and/or applying for a job opportunity.
Rhian aims to complete more courses as she joins the Chris Bradley Personal Training team and learn as much as she can to improve her knowledge and service within the industry.
Stewart McCalmont – Coach
Following numerous years participating in local team and individual sport, and on his retirement from his previous employment, Stewart changed his emphasis in sport to coaching and assisting others to progress, evolve and enjoy their physicality. For the past ten years the main focus of Stewart's efforts has been on the Rainey Endowed School Senior Rugby Squad. This has evolved to include the Medallion and other junior squads with the Senior Girls Hockey Squad also embracing Stewarts training methods. Other teams who have utilised his services include Cookstown RFC and Coagh United.
Stewart forwards the intertwining of weightlifting and intense cardio sessions as the
basis of his approach. He places great emphasis not only on weight loss and fitness level improvement but also the very real ability of regular progressive exercise to address mental health issues, to mitigate stress levels and to develop enhanced personal characteristics.
Being the eldest member of the coaching team Stewart brings a wealth of both training and life experiences to the gym.
This is married to a personal insight and understanding into the benefits of training and conditioning through not only a person in s twenties, thirties and forties but also even into their fifties!
