Following numerous years participating in local team and individual sport, and on his retirement from his previous employment, Stewart changed his emphasis in sport to coaching and assisting others to progress, evolve and enjoy their physicality.  For the past ten years the main focus of Stewart's efforts has been on the Rainey Endowed School Senior Rugby Squad.  This has evolved to include the Medallion and other junior squads with the Senior Girls Hockey Squad also embracing Stewarts training methods.  Other teams who have utilised his services include Cookstown RFC and Coagh United.

Stewart forwards the intertwining of weightlifting and intense cardio sessions as the
basis of his approach.  He places great emphasis not only on weight loss and fitness level improvement but also the very real ability of regular progressive exercise to address mental health issues, to mitigate stress levels and to develop enhanced personal characteristics.

Being the eldest member of the coaching team Stewart brings a wealth of both training and life experiences to the gym.

This is married to a personal insight and understanding into the benefits of training and conditioning through not only a person in s twenties, thirties and forties but also even into their fifties!
